What if my organization doesn't qualify?

No worries, we will work with you. We've created additional resources on measuring bicycling, setting a goal for your workplace and how your organization can engage externally in bicycle planning and advocacy to help catch you up to speed and qualify for certification. Most businesses interested in certification require some internal preparation to begin the process. Even Cascade Bicycle Club didn't meet the qualifications our first go around. Looking for more guidance? Read about how Cascade measured bicycling and set a goal here and here.

Review your earnable credits

Before you apply, you have the option to perform a self-assessment. The self-assessment can help you estimate a possible score and award level, identify key areas of improvement before applying, and gather information needed to complete the application.

Refer to the certification credit list for detailed explanations of each earnable credit, and assess whether you meet the criteria for each credit. Refer to the Best Practices Guide for suggestions and resources to improve your potential score and qualify for a higher level of certification. Estimate your credit total using the scoring rubric.

If you meet all prerequisites and at least 15 earnable credits, we recommend that you apply for BizCycle certification.
